As a result of winning the prestigious El Rostro del Heraldo de Mexico prize in 1996, she gained positive media attention. The result was that she could get more roles in telenovelas. In the latter part of 1990, Aracely continued to take small roles in films such as Mujer Casos de la Vida Real (1996) El Alma no tiene color (1997) and Alma Rebelde (1999). Aracely was chosen to play the lead role in Abrazam more fierce and was translated into English into English as "Embrace Me Tightly" in 2000.
